Our volunteers are invaluable to My Kids Attic
Volunteers are the heartbeat of My Kids Attic. We are dependent on you- our wonderful volunteers. Your time, skills and resources are invaluable contributions to the overall success of My Kids Attic. We could not effectively handle all the finer details that make our sale great without our volunteers.
Our volunteers help us set up racks/shelving, check-in items, work on the floor during sale days, work check out area, assist customers, break down and sort items and help prepare items for charity/donation pick up. Our volunteers are the backbone of our sale, there is something for everyone and we couldn't pull it off without each and everyone of you.
Benefits of Volunteering!
Shop First! You get the biggest and best selection by shopping the day before consignors shop.
Volunteer team members appreciation pre-sale & party will be held the day before our consignor pre-sale. Team members enjoy a private party as well as early shopping. Fun is always had by all. Join us for all the fun.
Team members enjoy the fellowship of a few hours out of the house with fellow moms, grandmas and even dads. A change of pace. New faces. New friends.
Traditional vs Super Volunteer Program
"Traditional Volunteer" team members will work two 4 hour shifts for the privilege to shop early at our private volunteer appreciation pre-sale & party before the consignors or the general public shop!
"Super Volunteer" team members will work three 4 hour shifts to shop 30 minutes earlier than the Traditional Volunteers. Participation in these programs is limited.
To be a volunteer you MUST also consign.
A few details as you decide whether to be a My Kids Attic Volunteer
Volunteers must make sure they can committ to a shift before reserving one. Once you have requested your volunteer shifts, do not change or cancel except in case of an emergency.
If you can not be 100% committed, please leave these shifts for those who are able to completely fulfill the committment.
All My Kids Attic Volunteer Team Members are very much appreciated.
Children MAY NOT accompany you during your shift or to shop at the pre-sale & party.
Only Volunteer Team Members are allowed at the volunteer pre-sale & party.
Shifts are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up early to insure you get your first choices.
Please be prepared to arrive a 5-10 minutes early and stay a few minutes after your shifts to allow time for the shift changes & training instructions.
My Kids Attic Volunteer Team Member Agreement
In volunteering, My Kids Attic pays consigning volunteers a bonus of shopping early at the Volunteer Appreciation Pre-sale & Party for their time. If you choose to volunteer, we count on you to follow through. In the event a volunteer does not fulfill their shift(s) obligation or find a comparable replacement, the volunteer will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer again or participate in any future pre-sales. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in place to be fair to those who fulfill their commitment and to maintain a high quality sale.
